Validating yourself isn’t always an easy task, but Chest.in’s “U’re Evrythng” would remind you of something more than trying to figure out your parts.

Chestin Estrella Josef is a 22-year-old indie pop artist from Baras, Rizal who turns personal experiences and random thoughts into songs. To him he describes his music as “intimate, nostalgic, and honest” in a familiarly unfamiliar feeling. Using soft indie pop sounds, his new release feels very personal because he intentionally made it perfectly imperfect.

“For this release, I wanted to capture that feeling instead of making everything sound too perfect. I focused a lot on the atmosphere, the melodies, and the way the lyrics would feel when everything comes together.”

“I think the song came from looking back at certain experiences and realizing how much they changed the way I see myself and the people around me.” — Chestin

His new track tells a striking message to everyone who listens to it because “U’re Evrythng” reminds us that “It’s okay if you don’t have everything figured out yet.” That, when we feel like we spend too much time and effort looking for answers to our feelings, we tend to skip over letting ourselves feel it first.

“I hope whoever listens to it can find a little piece of themselves in the song. Kahit hindi exactly the same yung experience nila, sana may line, melody, or feeling na masasabi nilang, ‘Ah, I’ve felt this before.’”

“U’re Evrythng” can be streamed on major music platforms.
